1. Purpose
This policy explains the use of cookies and other similar technologies on maeyra.com.
It supplements Maeyra’s Privacy Policy.
2. What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a piece of information that may be stored or accessed on a computer, smartphone or other device when using an online service.
Cookies and similar technologies may be used, in particular, to:
- operate the Site;
- maintain a basket or session;
- remember certain preferences;
- measure use of the Site;
- measure the performance of advertising campaigns.
Not all cookies necessarily require consent. The rules applicable to them depend, in particular, on their purpose and whether or not they are strictly necessary for the service requested.
3. Consent Management
Maeyra uses Elementor Cookie Consent.
On their first visit, the user may:
- accept optional cookies;
- refuse them;
- customise their choices.
Scripts and trackers subject to consent are managed in accordance with these choices.
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Site or for a service expressly requested may be used without consent where the legal conditions are met.
4. Changing Your Choices
The visitor may reopen their preferences at any time using:
Manage my cookies
available from the Site.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
5. Necessary Cookies
They enable, in particular:
- operation of the basket;
- checkout;
- session management;
- authentication;
- certain security functions;
- certain necessary caching functions;
- operation of the selected language;
- storage of the choice relating to cookies.
Where they are strictly necessary for the service requested, they are not subject to prior consent.
6. Functional Cookies
They may be used to provide or remember additional features or preferences that are not strictly essential.
Where consent is legally required, they are only enabled after such consent has been given.
7. Analytics Cookies
They enable the measurement and understanding of the use of the Site.
In Maeyra’s current configuration, this category includes, in particular, Google Analytics 4 as well as certain WooCommerce attribution mechanisms.
GA4 cookies may include, in particular:
- _ga;
- ga followed by the identifier specific to the property used.
Certain attribution cookies may begin with:
- sbjs_.
These technologies are classified by Maeyra in the Analytics category and are subject to consent in its current configuration.
8. Advertising Cookies
Maeyra uses Google Ads to measure the effectiveness of its campaigns and the corresponding conversions.
The technologies concerned are classified in the Advertising category where they serve this purpose.
They are only enabled in accordance with the visitor’s choices where consent is required.
9. Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager may be used as a technical tool for organising the triggering of tags.
GTM4WP enables, in particular, the generation of WooCommerce events relating to certain interactions with the shop.
The technical generation of an event on the Site must be distinguished from its transmission to a third-party service.
Transmissions subject to consent are managed in accordance with the choice expressed.
10. Brevo
Brevo is used for transactional e-mails and the newsletter.
Brevo behavioural tracking is not currently enabled on Maeyra.
If this situation changes, the corresponding processing activities and trackers will be analysed and incorporated into the consent mechanism where necessary.
11. Duration of the Choice
In order to avoid unnecessarily prompting the visitor on every visit, Maeyra uses a reference period of six months to remember their choice to accept or refuse, subject to any regulatory or technical change requiring the visitor to be prompted again.
This period does not necessarily correspond to the lifespan of each cookie.
12. Duration of Cookies
The duration depends on the cookie and its purpose.
Some cookies are limited to a session, while others may be retained for longer.
The inventory provided by the consent management tool provides additional information concerning the cookies currently detected.
13. Consent Logs
Elementor Cookie Consent may retain information enabling the choices made to be documented, including the status and categories selected, a technical or anonymised identifier and a timestamp, depending on the service’s features.
This information is used to respect and document the choices expressed.
14. New Tools
Maeyra may subsequently use other technologies, including Meta, TikTok or Snapchat.
These services are not considered active until they have actually been implemented.
Before activating a new technology, Maeyra checks its purpose, classification, applicable consent rules and the information that must be provided to visitors.
15. Updates
The cookie inventory may change as a result of modifications made to the Site, WordPress, WooCommerce or the various services used.
Maeyra therefore carries out new scans periodically and may correct the automatic classification of a cookie according to its actual purpose.
This policy is updated where necessary.
